How to change privacy settings on Facebook? - Abbie Storah - 11-09-2012 01:32 PM

I have gone on the menu, onto Privacy Settings and changed every single option about visibility of photos/posts etc to "Friends", yet when I go on my profile and click "View as", it seems that to the public all my photos, posts and personal information are still visible. How do I change this?! Don't like the idea of strangers being able to see my profile.

Are you trying View as Public?

Hi,

When you go Facebook on the top right should he Privacy Settings. Try changing that. Besides that, if you're Viewing As, it's most likely your friends. Your Friends can see most things. If you're completely anonymous most likely you can't see anything. Tell you what. Copy the URL of your profile and open it in a private browser window. Then you'll see your own profile as a true anonymous guest.

Make sure all your settings are saved then when change them thn, log off of Facebook. Hope you have your Facebook home page saved to your favorites. After you log out then, look at your profile using the favorite option. You will then see what the public actually sees. If you are still having the problem, contact Facebook Support. Sometimes the site is slow to respond so you may have to reset some privacy options. This is a common problem with their site.
