What up with all these ads on Facebook? - anonymous - 11-09-2012 01:34 PM

I usually dont see them whenever I log onto facebook on someone else's computer. Is there any way to get rid of them? It's really annoying. Especially when im listening to music and some stupid ad starts playing.

Well, by what i know, there is no way to get rid of them. But these ads are usually flash videos. So if you have Mozilla Firefox, (and if not you can download it here: http://www.mozilla.com) then you can add an 'add-on' called flashblock. Flashblock blocks everything that is flash. To add this add on, go to add ons and search flashblock. This site will change everything flash to a little play button. If you press it, it will start playing, if not, the ad will not play and you will not hear it. Also, you can choose exceptions, like youtube.com, etc. And if you do not like flashblock, you can always delete it. I hope this helped.
