two ways you can get legit twitter followers is by creating youtube videos of you doing crazy stuff and adding your twitter account in the video description.
another one is by having a tumblr account and posting about a trendy topic, once you get tons of followers there, you can start promoting your twitter account from there.
getting twitter followers from twitter itself is actually quite hard.
