I don't want to put my tumblr on Facebook or Twitter, because I don't want anyone of my classmates to know about tumblr, because then they'll flock to it and make it "trendy" for the "cool kids". It's my safety zone from all the drama. But I'm tired of following and reblogging people, who don't follow back. I don't want tons of followers anyway crowding up my page.

i think that you will just have to keep reblogging and following :/
oh also tag all of your photos and stuff so that people will come across them when they search for things.

Just reblog posts that you like, and follow people who post similar things to you - they might follow you back and reblog from you.
Also, talk to your followers, and get to know them. They might promote you to their followers, so you'll gain more.
I always say I follow back, which tends to gain me more followers, so you could try that too.
But whatever you do, don't put your url on facebook! So many people from my school have discovered tumblr, it's awful. Don't let that happen!

There is no way really other than
reblogging,
following, a lot of people do follow back,
sometimes blogs do promo for promo so you can promote eachothers blogs,
or sometimes if you ask and they like your blog they will promote you,
asking questions and sending messages is also a good way to get noticed.
I always check out blogs that follow me, reblog me a lot, like my posts a lot or who send me messages. I only follow back if i actually like the blog though.

promote yourself everywhere. that means writing your tumblr url on bathroom stalls, hanging fliers in elevators, the whole shabang. its too bad that the easy way to do it isn't working for you
