Run a credit check to see if accounts have been opened that you did not authorize.

annualcreditreport.com is THE official free site for the legally-mandated access to one free credit report each year. You can get one report a year from each of the three major agencies, so could get one every four months if you alternate between Experian, TransUnion and Equifax.

Checking what appears on your reports is a way to know if there have been inquiries, credit card opened, addresses associated with your account, and other good information. Everyone should pull their report as often as possible.

If she is suspicious she can put a Fraud Alert on her credit report to keep any new credit cards or loans from being issued without direct confirmation with her.
