Have you heard of a programme on itv called Long Lost family? It is a programme where they find relatives such as your older brother and track him down and in every episode I have watched, which is a lot, they always find the relative. The only thing is you would have to appear on tv but the researchers are amazing and go to great lengths to find the relatives.
Here is a link to their application form - http://www.itv.com/beontv/long-lost-family/
Hopefully this might help you, of course quite a few people will apply for the programme but I see situations like this all the time on the programme so you should have a pretty good chance Smile

If you would not like the idea of going on tv, I know someone who has tracked their mother down after a long long time after she was adopted and she asked an old relative who turned out to know where her Mother was living and she met up with her.

Good luck and I hope I helped Smile
