Is it okay for more than one person to share an e-mail address? - important_bizniss - 11-09-2012 04:33 PM

I know that a company can have one e-mail address, and also maybe one twitter page and one facebook page. There is this hot, new girl group called the OMG girls, sharing a twitter account, I think. But more than one family member share an e-mail address?
Companies share one address, and therefore they all know the password. Let's say the address is tailored to show that more than one person uses it, is that wrong?

email is private and its free so why would you want to share?

I think if companies can, then relatives can, as long as they are all responsible, trustworthy and as you said, the address is tailored to show usage by more than one person, just like a company does. If one person sets it up, and the website is something like, say, bwilliamsandsons.com, then it can work. No one knows that it's just a father and son sharing a website. People think this is a company.
