Chances are good that, no matter how many Facebook games you play, you sometimes get notifications that do not interest you. Even the most avid FarmVille farmer might not feel any need to join Ninja Warz. These constant notifications about your friends' activities in other games and the gifts they're sending you through those games distract you from the Facebook events you actually care about. Depending on your settings, you may even receive these notifications to your email account or your mobile phone. Instead of sorting through them, block these notifications.

Difficulty:Moderately EasyInstructions

1
Click "Account" in the upper right corner of your Facebook page, then click "Account Settings" in the list of options that appears. This takes you to a new page.

2
Click the "Notifications" tab on this new page. This takes you to a list of notifications that you can choose not to receive.

3
Click the boxes beside any of the notification types for which you are receiving unwanted notifications to remove the check mark in the box. The types of notifications include various apps, being tagged in a picture, new friend requests, comments on your videos and many more.

4
Click the "Save Changes" button when the only notification types checked are ones for which you wish to receive notifications.
