Does blocking someone on Facebook stop them appearing on your account when you have mutual friends? - jln - 11-09-2012 04:39 PM

I'm looking to avoid having my ex-boyfriend appear on Facebook as I am doing my best to cut contact from him for a while. However, even though I have deleted him from my own friends list, as we have mutual friends he still appears sometimes when they have commented on something on his profile or his on theirs. Would blocking him stop this from happening or will it just stop him from seeing me?

Yes, it would. Blocking means blocking. You won't see anything from him, and neither him from you until YOU decide you want to unblock him. The one who blocks first has that POWER Smile lol

Blocking someone on facebook gives them no way of seeing you or contacting you. If he searched your name or looked for you in someone else's friend's list you wouldn't come up.
You can't see or contact him, either.
