Why does API keep posting to my twitter? - chunkyhunks - 11-09-2012 04:41 PM

I don't even know what API is. I decided to send a story to my twitter from a mobile phone app, and now it posts it (the tweet says "From API") what seems like several times a day. How can I stop it?

API just means that the tweet was made with some sort of software. If you post on the twitter website then it will say "web". If something keeps posting and you want to stop it, you need to find where it's posting from. If it's your phone, then just change your phone settings to turn it off.

If you can;t find who or what is posting to your twitter account, go to your twitter account, then click on Settings, then on Connections and remove authorizations you might have given. Then change your twitter password and no one else but you should be able to post anything.
