What is generally the best way to smile in photos? - Chris T - 11-09-2012 04:42 PM

In photos (ya know, school ones, relaxed) I usually smile with my mouth open a bit, but on facebook in most of my mates pictures they smile with there mouth closed and it looks pretty cool. I dunno, just a question coz I'm bored... Don't slaughter me.

Well if you're confident in your smilie, show teeth. If you don't like your teeth then that's usually when people close-mouth smile.

They're smiling with their mouths closed either because they're embarrassed to have strong feelings or they have bad teeth.

Cheesily is always the best, like this - Big Grin

i smile with mouth closed just cos then its hard to look completly ridiculous, whereas if u have mouth open then its kinda risky incase you look mega cheesy. do whatever smile feels natural.

smile how you feel confident - i bet you they all think the same about YOUR smile. I HATE looking at others pics because they all look better than mine, but when I said this to them, I always got the response that they liked mine. no one likes there smile and no one likes their photo's

I've always found a lopsided lear combined with a needy smirk is best.

Naturally.

I used to smile with my mouth closed due to my typically British teeth. But, I was caught once laughing and I looked so much better. Then i started laughing/smiling and rather than trying to hide my teeth, I thought I ought to try to hide my ginormous back-side!
