In Facebook video calling, do both people need to have webcams in order for the call to go through? - frickin Aisha - 11-09-2012 04:50 PM

My boyfriend doesn't have a camera, but I do, but I figured if I called him, he could still at least hear and see me so I could talk and he could type or something like that. I mean, that's how i works in Skype. We both set up the facebook video calling thing today and everytime I call it says he missed it, and he tells me it's not working. Is it because he doesn't have a webcam?

If you mean the Skype-Facebook video call thing, then yes, I believe you both have to have webcams. For Video Chat Rounds you both definitely don't need a webcam, you can make a regular voice call and have a one-sided vid chat.
