I made an event for my 19th birthday party and invited a few people, but I forgot to make it 'invite only' and instead it was 'friends', did all of my facebook friends get a notification that they were invited? If so that's very embarrassing!

No. However, they can see your event and maybe even RSVP to the event. I suggest you change the settings from 'friends' to 'custom' or something more private.

Just go edit the event for invite only

yes...but to fix it up...just post in the event that you mad a mistake and you'll message all of the people who are actually invited...and ask for a response back from those who you messaged as far as if they're going to attend or not

Yeahh. Everybody got invited. :'( but you can always go back and edit it.. & happy birthday! 19 is an awesome age!
