i know my friend has a twitter but when i search her name and username it wont come up. any suggestions? i know i spelled everything right and all that..

May be your friend is using twitter with a different user name (not the one you are typing in). Otherwise there is no reason to stop it from appearing in your search results. Twitter does not have any privacy setting to stop others from searching any user.
