It was the first long term relationship I had lasting 2 and a half years. We didn't remain friends. Now 6 years later he sends me a friend request. I didn't accept out of respect for my current boyfriend and that it is just weird but from a males point of view what is the point in it?

was he not on your address book before hand...via email or msn?
as if he click find friends that could do it for him, so he might not even know
or he might just be wondering what your upto

Maybe he wants to just touch base with you after so many years, you have no reason to be suspicious if he hasn't talked to you in years and hasn't tried to get you back before.
I would have accepted the friend request but deleted him if it turned out he wanted more than just to see how I am.

I'd add him, it's only on Facebook. That's not disrespecting your current boyfriend in any way, it doesn't mean a lot.

its been a long time..everything that happened to yall is in the past. hes probably just trying to get in touch again for old times sake or somethin like that.

My ex keeps on trying to add me to bebo....really don't have a clue why! I haven't spoken to him for months since we split....so whats the point! Im sure he's still the twat that he was when we were together!
