If i get facebook notifications on the status bar of my phone that someone has posted on my wall does that mean i am logged in to facebook. I went onto my desktop and i wasn't logged in?

"Logging in" is a function of a single program on single device. Getting the notification on your phone means that you are logged in to the Facebook application on your phone. It has nothing to do with being logged in to Facebook through the Android Browser or through your browser on your computer at home.
