like friend facts and challenges and stuff i never get a real notification anymore its annoying

With the new interface that they have put in you should be able to check a box on most applications so that you do not receive such notifications.

There should be an option somewhere to disable notifications through Facebook.
Only thing I can think of is going somewhere in the settings. There should be an option to disable the notifications in Facebook somewhere in the settings.

Go to your inbox and go to the notifications tab and uncheck the box for the notifications you no don't want to receive
