Adding people as friends on twitter? Umm is adding friend even an option on twitter? I dont think it is sorry.....unless your asking something else?

Friends mechanism on twitter is quite different from other social networks.
On twitter, there is no friends adding, you can follow other twitter users. Following is different from adding as friends. Following on twitter means that you will receive updates i.e. tweets posted by the one you followed. It is not mutual in nature as the one you followed will not see your posts unless (s)he follows you too.
And there is no requirement to request someone if you can follow them. Go and follow. Except the case in which the person has protected their tweets account.

i am sure you meant how you can know if the people you followed,followed you back.all you have to do is check your list of followers and if they appear,then they accepted and vice-versa.
