My sister is addicted to facebook, but she thinks it's normal, she's no spring chicken either.
Her focus isn't where it should be, job, home, and kids. Instead she's constantly on facebook, checking for new friends, downloading more pictures, changing her main photo. She nearly got tangled with one of those African con artists, I'm very concerned and I suggested counseling immediately. By the way I don't have facebook, and I don't want it.

It's definitely possible to addicted to a social media site. I saw a documentary on it and there was a woman on Dr. Phil who was neglecting her family because of Facebook. Look up info on the topic, then find a therapist to guide you. You may have to get other family members involved, if possible. I'm with you on not being involved with FB; it causes problems. I know people who lost friendships on things that were posted on there. I don't know why people think it's fun to post personal business on a public site. Good luck to you and your sister.

No I am not suffering from any addiction or obsession.
Now please excuse me - that chocolate bar in the corner is starring at me so I need to change rooms.
