i dont twitter but i think so. A username is like your ID. If you change ID/username then it will be blank again and you will have to get new people again. hope this helps

Hi,
No, you will not lose your followers. they will just see the new username, but you will not lose them. They follow your account, not your username. So changing a username does not automatically cause people to stop following you.
Also, twitt that you changed your username just to let your follower know.
