Is your father still living? Mine has passed away but my family and I will always remember him. Back home, we have a dinner in remembrance of him.
While here in the Philippines, I will just pay tribute to him on facebook together with family. It is not a sad day for us. We have very fond memories of when we were all together.
Cheers and a toast today for all fathers.

Phone call to my Dad back in my home country then received a call from my son also back in my home country followed by a lazy long lunch at our favourite beach with my wifes neices and nephews.....A really good day.....Glad you have your happy memories of your Dad also.

We always remember our dad. On his birthday, on Father's Day, on Memorial Day, on Veteran's Day, and the day he left us. Dad passed away a few years ago from complications due to Agent Orange. Strange but never any symptoms until suddenly some spots on his back that spread all over his body. Within a month he died. He was with the 101st Airborne and his unit had the assignment to search & destroy anything the enemy might be able to use. Mainly to destroy the Ho Chi Mingh Trail that brought supplies in from the north. Agent Orange was used to kill the vegetation.
Yesterday and today I will be in touch constantly with my family. Rest in Peace, dad, We love you.
