how big would the dimensions be if i wanted to make my twitter profile one big picture? - Savannah McRae - 10-02-2012 08:36 AM

just like a desktop? i don't really want to tile little pictures as my background, so i was wondering how big the dimensions are for the screen?

i'm using the newest firefox for mac, if that makes any difference. much help is appreciated, thanks!

It will mostly depend on what your screen resolution is as to how the image displays on your own computer.

If someone else is using a different screen resolution then the image will display slightly different for them.

Currently the most popular screen resolution is 1024 x 768 with 1280 x 1024 coming in 2nd.

Many people have different opinions on what the best size is to use.

I personally use 1600 X 1024 to accommodate the majority of users.

If you need a background I have a collection of Twitter backgrounds that include Sports, Abstract, Beaches, Sunsets, Pets and more. You can see them at http://www.twitterpatted.com

Hope this helps,
Brenda
