No. You May Think You Have Privacy But You Don't Anymore. Technology Takes It All Away In My Opinion

Yes, you can choose not to publish things about yourself online.

It's up to people whether they want to put anything on the internet or not.. there doing it by choice not force, so it's their fault?

You can have as much privacy and security as you want, it is up to you how much information you give away on the internet, facebook and twitter etc., and how secure your computer is.

When I receive a telephone call and they say, I just want to confirm who I am speaking to, can you give me your name please, I tell them no I can't and put the 'phone down. If it is important, the person would give me their name first and ask to speak to Mrs so and so.

I have told all my banks I do not under any circumstances want to receive telephone calls from them, if they need to get in touch they have to write to me. All my family get in touch by mobile phone.

These people on Facebook who tell all and sundry they are going on holiday at a certain time and won't get back until so and so are absolutely stupid, they may as well leave their front doors open. Okay most of us are in touch with friends, but what if a friend of your friend happens to see this information and they are not as trustworthy as you would like them to be, anyone can break into your house.

I am very protective of my information and give nothing away unless I have to for official reasons, then it is out of your hands anyway.
