So me and one of my mates actually look really similar and we've lied to everyone that we're identical twins but we have different names on facebook and stuff and need a good excuse to tell people. any suggestions. anything from realistic to wild and wacky will do

your parents divorced. one lived with the mom, the other lived with the dad. mom went back to her old surname.

You were separated at birth and just recently made the connection that you were twins.
That is a plausible situation.

1. the other oNe is adopted by another family so he has difFerent surname..
2. tell them he is your step twin brother. confusing huh. haha.

Mother had two boyfriends and was not sure who the father was so she split the difference and named one after each.

Separated at birth or one of you didn't like it and changed it. Test tube babies. One of you got adopted. Parents got divorced and you got separated. One of you got married and took the women's name.
