How can i get in contact with authors to ask questions and praise their works? - Mallory - 11-09-2012 05:40 PM

I would really like to contact some of my favorite authors like J.K. Rowling, Suzanne Collins, Daniel Quinn, Stephanie Myer, and Judi Picolt. Does anyone know the best way to contact them so that I could know they read and possibly answer to what I wrote them? (Questions, comments...etc.) please answer!

Check out their websites! I know many have websites, and the best way is via email. Some major ones, like J.K. Rowling, receive tons of fan mails, but other, less popular ones, to answer their e-mail ^_^

Authors deserve their privacy. The don't appreciate being stocked by people. If you want to try to communicate with a particular author, see if you can follow them on twitter or if they have a public website contact through there.
But do not expect a personal reply. they have more to do than sit around all day answering mail.

Their websites will have their email addresses, but sometimes, they dont have the time to read them personally. I know for a fact that JK Rowling gets her mail, but i dont know if she reads it. She has assistants that take of that for her and they personally write back to you. They normally do not give out an email adress or phone, so mail is the best way to go. good luck and i hope you get a reply! Haha, funny story, this one time my friend wrote to the person who wrote little women (she mailed the publisher) not knowing she was dead, and got a reply from the publisher saying they are flattered that she had taken an interest in classics at a young age (this was some years ago), but were sorry to say she was dead. It was funny.

You needa go to their email address and its found on their website. You can usually locate this by finding the contact us/me page. You should get a reply, and I already know this. J.K. Rowling doesn't have an email address, she has an address that you can send mail to here in the U.S. or in England.
