I have an Apt residency and am seeking a super Roomate, where can I go?

Go through friends and family. Post on your Facebook page that you are looking for someone to share an apartment, what the rent is, etc., and ask friends and family to let their friends and family know as well. Put up a notice at your community of faith (if you have such), at an organization or shop that you frequent (a bicycle shop, a restaurant, REI, etc.), and at local university bulletin boards.

I don't like Craigslist at all for these kinds of things, because of all the creepy people on them. I prefer paying for an ad in the local paper.

For every person who is interested, have them fill out a form of your own making. Ask for the person's
-- full legal name
-- last street address
-- their parent's address and phone number
-- the name of their employer
-- their cell phone number
-- their email address
-- two references, NOT their parents or relatives (name, relationship, phone number)

This let's the person know you are serious about someone being responsible, and should they run out on you without paying rent, you have information that can help you track them down.
