I shut my Facebook account down a couple of years ago but I am now trying to log back in again. Facebook doesn't recognise my email address - do FB accounts get erased in cases such as this?
Is there a way I can get my account back?

they only delete it if the email account has been deleted

Secondary: If you have deleted your Facebook account then you can't but if you have just closed your account then you can reopen it anytime.
