There is no set amount of friends you are supposed to have; it's just the number of people you know on Facebook. Obviously, your girlfriend knows more people than you and that's okay.

You can have as many as you want, although data indicates that you can't actually have meaningful interaction with more than 150.

well it doesn't mean anything other then she has knows more people then you or at least she adds more people then you, my boyfriend had about 1000 friends and i only have 187 so i know how you feel but don't think too much about it as long as she doesn't talk to them more then she talks to you! maybe she just doesn't clear it out ever. don't think to much about it you have enough friends for people to not say anything,
