Hi, I can give you some things to think about. The disadvantage may be that it affects the social aspects of education. Don't know if this counts. The one advantage is that it could be used to communicate with a group made by the teacher, where the students can ask any question from their home about anything they need an answer to when it is after class hours

Social networking is all about making friendship, sharing videos, photos and information with anyone either it is friend or relative or colleagues. It has made our lives much comfortable and entertaining.
You can meet your classmates and share something on those websites, instead calling them and spending a big money...
In short, with social networking you can create a community and community brings improvement in your studies, where you can ask any question and get the answer Now you can make your own community and add niche people for your interest online.
