What are the consequences of getting caught hacking someones facebook? - A-ron - 11-09-2012 05:58 PM

My friend and i were having a sleepover last night and at about 3 Am we decided to go online, to facebook and mess around. We came across a friend of ours from middle school and hacked it, just to see if we could... We changes his profile picture to a sheep and kept putting his status as BAHHHHHH. Now today, his older sister found out we hacked it and is threatening to report it or go to the police... What should i do? It was all a innocent joke, we gave the password back and everything.

it can be seen as harassment, didnt you see on the news about the kid sueing his mother because she changed his password on him to keepo him from getting into bad situations. Im sure if you just apologize and never do it again it may just go away. stop acting so stupid and grow up a little

apologize and say it was only a joke

More likely, Facebook disables your account because you broke the rules. To get it back, appeal to Facebook by sending the message. You will less likely get it back because Facebook is strict about rule breakers. If you can't get your account back, then it's your loss.

Try not to hack someone's account next time.

If you are still having sleepovers you are probably not really hacking anything. Get a life.
