What does "standard message rates apply" mean? - Rachel S. - 10-02-2012 10:10 AM

I connected my Twitter to my phone and it says "standard message rates apply". Does that mean that whatever your phone plan makes you pay for texts is what you have to pay for using Twitter with your phone? I have Verizon unlimited texting, so is that the same with my Twitter?

guess so...

It means they aern't going to pay you're fees, if you have unlimited messaging for thiry a month, it won't cost any extra. but if it's fifty cents per text, it will still be fifty cents per text, even if its twiter, they won't pay it.

Yes it is the same for anything not just twitter. Smile

Yes it is.. don't worry.. the only reason they tell you that is because whatever your current phone plan is they will charge based on that..

let's say you have a plan:

200 texts a month

and if you go over that then there is like a 40 cent charge for a every text you go over

but since you have unlimited text messages you don't need to worry

I have twitter and it works in conjunction with my VZW texting plan.. which is unlimited text
