My Facebook chat has stopped working? - pokerface - 11-09-2012 06:07 PM
FB chat shows x number of friends,but on expanding list I get no one available to chat.I have uninstalled IE8 and reinstalled IE7 to no avail.I have also installed Mozilla Firefox as suggested by another user on here.Im at a loss what to do next.I have seriously ill relative on the otherside of the world so really need this facility back.Any help gratefully accepted.

im sorry but your question is not very clear to me, I couldn't say if you are facing a browser problem or something wrong in FB itself. However you need to understand that you can't chat with someone on facebook (even if they are online) until a green sign is shown next to their names. a white sign mean the person is on facebook but offline in FB chat. In the meanwhile if this is didn't help any you desperately need a chatting device I would recommend windows live messenger or Skype where you can do high quality audio, video, and typing chats.

It will just be Facebook having more problems. Just leave it for a while. Try updating your flash player too.

facebook chat is crap anyway..it does it all the time
