How do I tell him the truth without losing him? - <3 Cherry <3 - 11-09-2012 06:13 PM

For a laugh me and a friend made a fake facebook account with a picture of a really pretty girl on it and wanted to see how many people would accept a random add.
I kept going on after she gave up and i got really close to one of the guys who accepted. He is so sweet and so caring.
But I'm not the girl he thinks I am :/ I need to tell him the truth but how? Should I just delete the account or should I explain to him what happened?

You'll loose him if ya tell, delete the account and forget about it

if u truly like him than tel him the truth. i guess he will understand. n if he likes u too than he wont get mad at u.. n accept u the way u r.

why don't you try and meet nice guys away from your computer?
if he is a sweet and caring guy than he will think its funny and you will still be friends. if he accepted your bogus FB account and refused your real one he is probably not the nice guy you think he is.

You could explain, but i doubt he will feel anything but lied to and will probably not react well.

If it were me, i would delete it and move on. Then take a lesson from it and don't misrepresent yourself again. i can see it as an experiment or a laugh, but allowing someone to get close to a person who doesn't exist is going too far.

In this case, i would delete and retreat.

You could then friend him using your real account and see how it goes. He just might like you for who you are, and if not, then he was only interested in the photo to begin with, a good thing to know early on.

It is a thing for a laugh but resulted to something serious. We can never say that you can tell him the truth without losing him. Tell the truth, explain what happened.

If you don't want to tell him, just add him from ur real facebook (as you) and just get to know him, as if you don't even know the fake profile

I think if you tell him the truth he will understand. That's how most guys are. At least I would..
