A good alternative website to Myspace? - Lauren - 11-09-2012 06:13 PM I'm looking for a good alternative to Myspace. Theres too much spam and idiot people on there. I don't want facebook because of the privacy problem. - Jonathan W - 11-09-2012 06:22 PM you can try hi5.com - iquestionreality - 11-09-2012 06:22 PM Are you looking for a place to blog? Or more of a social site? Here are a couple of suggestions: Blogs: http://www.livejournal.com http://www.xanga.com http://www.blogger.com http://www.vox.com http://www.wordpress.com Social Sites: http://www.linkedin.com (more for networking/career) http://www.twitter.com http://www.hi5.com http://www.friendster.com Looking for a specific theme? Check out this listing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_social_networking_websites One final note - Any website is only as secure or private as the information/photos that you put on them. Facebook has many settings to keep many things private, as do many of the sites listed above. - Shane - 11-09-2012 06:22 PM Vazzoom.com is the best! I signed up there last week, and I've met a bunch of cool people. There's a lot of activities and things to do if you're bored... you can chat, share music, buy & sell your friends, watch movies, play games, and if you have some talent or creative skill, you can upload your "stuff" and have people vote on it. There are a lot of models, singers, photographers and filmmakers on the site, and if you're like an aspiring model or whatever, you can get discovered by one of the agents on there. I haven't seen ANY spam or anything on that site, I love it !! |
