How to stop NEW facebook game notifications (dec 2010)? - WMassGirl - 11-09-2012 06:15 PM
As of a few days ago we now get game requests up in the notification area as well as the game area on the side and I want to know how to stop getting them at the top. If I click on it and choose "all notifications" there is no way to shut it off in there. I still want to get the game requests just not in that area. I'm missing a lot of people responding to posts because I get 300+ requests a day!

I don't know, but I have the same problem. I don't mind 'X has posted to your wall, but THIS is annoying. I play at least three games (FrontierVille, FarmVille and Mafia Wars, among others) and I don't need 50 - 60 notifications on my notifications when I next log in. I'm 'live' on the website now and have had two in the past five minutes.
This is what I am posting everywhere to try to get an answer myself
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW to turn off GAME NOTIFICATIONS in NOTIFICATIONS. I do not mind 'X has posted on your wall' but now I am getting 'X has sent you a Y in Z' or 'X has sent you a request in Y' and IT IS AGGRAVATING. How do I turn this off?

Unfortunately, they are currently testing this - supposedly short-term. I have been trying to find a way to contact them to tell them it is really annoying and I may stop playing all my games. But they have almost no way to contact them either.

it's definately annoying. I have tried going to the privacy settings and unchecked all the game applications boxes under the notifications section but that still didn't help. i really wish they would hurry up and fix this because it's getting extremely annoying.
