Okay so I haven't verified my account yet with my email.
But yesterday I sent a lot of direct messages & tweets. I can't direct message anymore it tells me an error to post the message to everyone. & yes all of them are following me. All I can do is tweet something not direct message.

You might have reached the limit. But you should verify your account either way.
