I admit, sometimes I look at profiles of people that I am not even facebook "friends" with (like an old friend or ex-boyfriend). Since hearing about that "Stalker Check" application, I got a bit freaked out that someone might know I've been looking at their profile!!! I don't want them to know that I've been snooping!!!

Facebook forbids this activity in Section II, Article 2.8.2 of the Facebook Platform Guidelines. Link: http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Additional_Policies_Governing_All_Applications_and_Developers
Any developer who makes an application that tracks users will have their application disabled and removed.
If you find a service that tracks users, report it and Facebook will delete it.
That aside, Facebook is a SOCIAL website, meaning the whole point of having a profile is so other people, including strangers, can view it.
People paranoid that 'uninvited' others are looking at their profile can set the appropriate privacy settings. If they don't, they're effectively permitting access from the general public.
Those who don't know the difference shouldn't be on Facebook in the first place.

no. the old one was like that but not the new facebook... so you have no worries.

No, Microsoft has some strict privacy regulation that prohibits that.
And the information is PUBLIC anyways, so snooping should be allowed anyways.

yes stalker check is a application. my bff installed it and he was able to see exactly who looked at his profile even though they werent even his friends. now he saw this one girl he used to know checked his profile 12 times in one day. stalkerish right? ohh. but he is going to install it for me this weekend. its free. and virus free but i cant remember where he downloaded it from. sorry.
