Can you temporarily disable your facebook account? - OneHitWounder - 11-09-2012 06:32 PM

Is there a way you can sort of disable you facebook account, so it's like you deleted, but you can get it back?? Because i want to get rid of facebook for a while, but i want my old profile back, or else i'll have to start all over.

I'm pretty sure there isn't, but for now, you can kind of "close" it and make things only visible to you so it's kind of dead.

Yes you can, once you close the account it appears closed until you log into it again.

Yes you can, here's how.

1. Log onto facebook
2. Click account (right hand corner)
3. Click account settings
4. Look for the word deactivate and click it
5. It will say: Why are you deactivating? and it'll give you choices.
6. Pick "This is temporary. I'll be back."
7. Click deactivate

And there you go, it looks like you've deleted it.
People cannot search you up.
To reactivate it, just simply log in Smile
