Can facebook messages and cell phone messages be used as proof of a robbery? - Sheraz - 11-09-2012 06:35 PM

I had gotten robbed about 5 months ago and I was talking to my neighbors mom while she was drunk, she let me in on some facebook messages and the 2 guys who did it. One of the guys took me out to the movies while he had his friend break into my house over text messaging and then he inboxed the mother on facebook begging her not to tell the police.
Could I take any legal action against this matter since I know who did it. I even know the date and time of the events.

That could be used as evidence at a trial, yes.

Not sure if its enough to convict on that alone.

First of all, that's not robbery.

And you don't know and certainly cannot prove that those messages are from him.
