Hey guys
If I join a group on Facebook, does the person who made the group get an alert that I joined? We aren't friends on Facebook.

Yes they certainly will. Though they will not be able to view your page as you are not friends.

Actually, the creator won't get a direct notification (like an email or the little red flag) when they log on. The only way they can tell is to visit their Group page and look at the stats for that group, which will tell them how many members belong to it. In addition, the "Highlights" bar on the right might show if the creator's friends joined the group.

I have two groups on Facebook and when someone joins my group on facebook I do not get a notification. The only way I know is if I am scrolling down the list of groups that I am in and there is a highlight and it tells me that I have new member(s).
