my number of followers went up by like 20 last night, and all of these new followers have similar usernames. their usernames are the first name followed by five random letters. for example, somebody named leslie follows me, and her username is lesliefyufn. another person named sharolyn follows me and her username is sharolynciujn. there are many more people that follow me with usernames like this, and I don't know any of them. I don't get it... what does it mean?

be happy that you have more followers. You cant see their tweets unless u follow them too, so them following you shouldnt affect you...

They may be. Did you use any sites to get the followers? I know some people use http://www.twitmyfans.biz/ . If not you should be happy about the followers.
