What does it mean when someone puts a '#' beside their status ? - Mara King - 11-09-2012 06:57 PM

I've seen a couple of people do it, and i'd like to know the reason for the #. One of my friends put this as his status "no sleep flow#" If you could please tell me the reason for it, and what it means. thanks (:

The hash mark (#) before a word in a post allows you to tag that post for that word. This usually comes when someone has a twitter account linked with their fb. So basically when they updated their facebook through their Twitter account they can be linked so whatever you put on there can show on Facebook.
