my 10 year old grandson abandoned in new mexico can i pick him up? - Leeenda - 11-09-2012 07:08 PM

Got a message from a woman in New Mexico (my 10- yr old grandson lives with his mother, his father lives here in CA) saying that she had my grandson because his mother left him with her over a month ago. She found me on facebook any ideas?

I would say to pick him up, before child protective services does. Good luck.

Arrange to meet her and get flight over there ( or get his dad to do so ) bring him to where you live

Actually if you call CPS they will probably help you get your grandson back. Lets face it the government does not want to pay for foster care if they can help ot. If you call they will tell you what to do and legally clear the way for you to get him.

That poor kid must feel so abandoned! Go pick him up, if his mum has left him with no further plans of coming back try getting him signed into your name or something. All she has to do is agree to it. To take over the right of being his legal guardian you'll have to talk to lawyers about what you can do for more options. They might count his mother as missing persons, otherwise they'd find a way to contact her and it's all sweet.

Save that boy!!!

Call his mother and see what actully is going on and speak with his father as well ASAP and if no reach you should first make sure it's your grandson then go and get him

I would say go get but please be careful....Make sure you speak with your grandson before you jump on a plane...Have a very very long conversation with him first. I would even recommend taking a very large man with a weapon. I am not saying this just because you said this is in Mexico, I would even say it if it was someone down the street from you. Please be careful Smile
