I was going to join facebook when I realized that a few of my friends I cant visit anymore have a facebook. I was just curious as to what features facebook has, and what can you do besides edit a blog?

You can chat with them (like IM), view/upload pictures, upload videos, join groups.

Facebook have many features like applications, fan pages and groups. Thousands of application are running on facebook. Applications like comparing people, Hot or Not and many other apps. The best feature of facebook is privacy you can manage your profile private.
