I just got a facebook and it wont let me chat, how can I fix it? How do I contact facebook?

Facebook chat goes down every now and then. It's a live system, their engineers keep tweaking it all the time, and sometimes there are problems.
Also there are some issues with browsers. Currently google chrome is the best browser for facebook chat, and even it is sometimes problematic.
I made an msn style Facebook chat program for the desktop, it's better than anything out there.
