Is doing something your parents don't allow a sin? - Brandon Nguyen - 11-09-2012 07:29 PM

I have a facebook which I am not allowed to have. If I confess about having it, then never going on it again, but still not tell my parents about it will I go to hell?

sinner

Hell does not exist and "thou shalt not partake in social networking" is not a sin.

It's a win-win for you.

MYTHICAL FIRE LAND WITH PIG/DEMON AS OVERSEER DOES NOT EXIST, PEOPLE. GET IT TOGETHER.

No, It's not a sin... however your parents might have a good reason to forbid it.
Talk to them...

=)

Jesus can forgive you for EVERY sin, if you ask him Smile

i don't think so...they are not really the boss of you as it seems. You are your own person..you have rights..

didn't you know? everything you long to do, no matter when or where or who, has one thing in common too: it's a sin!

- Laircy - 11-09-2012 07:37 PM

The sin here is not the fact that you have a Facebook but that you are not honoring your father and mother.

- KJ - 11-09-2012 07:37 PM

If I remember correctly there's something about honoring your mother and father. And keeping it from them would be lying so that wouldn't help you there.

everything that God has declared to be a sin is a sin
all transgression of the law is a sin, (except, i protest tradition, all things that religious leaders say is a sin is not always a sin)

it is a commandment to honor Father and Mother.
it is a commandment not to lie.
