How to i nicely reject when someone asks for my number? - justsomeone - 11-09-2012 07:32 PM

I have a friend from tuition who i don't really know well personally/ in person (as in i don't talk to him much in person) but we always chat comfortably on facebook. He just asked me (on fb chat) for my number but i don't feel close enough to give it to him. How can i nicely refuse to give my number and not affect the friendship i have with him now?

Tell him that you don't have a number and then ask him for his letter. He'll tekll you he doesn't have a letter and then you can conclude that you don't have a number and he doesn't have a letter and you'll both be so confused that you'll both forget he asked for your number.

Hope this helps.

Give them the number to the rejection hot line Smile Theres tons of numbers for each area code. They also have funny ones. But mostly their really mean. The way I reject people is by telling them to give me their number and that I'll text the later on. I never take down the number which makes it impossible for me to text them. When they ask why I didnt text them? My phome died just as I was about to save the number Smile Bell rings then I have a class . lol

Just say either that you don't have a phone or say that you don't feel comfortable to give him your number then just tell him that you are sorry but that is how you feel.

All you can do is say your not ready for that yet, or make an excuse, (my parents read my messages and only let me message people they have met) Or something along those lines. Turning it down should in no way hurt your friendship and if he gets butthurt over it, well, you know what hes in it for. The guys that are worth it will stay in for the long run even if facebook is all they get. Smile You can do it.

just say "I don't do txtmates. Sorry."
