Like...she deletes all of her FB statuses and asks her boyfriend to keep people posted on her behalf, posting things about her, for her.
"She's doing fine."
"She's okay." Etcetera.

Maybe he is controlling her but trying to cover it up by telling people she is fine through him. He may not like her having a facebook account but also doesn't want to seem suspicious if she isn't in contact with people somehow on there.
