I deleted my Twitter account. How do I keep my tweets from popping up on Google search? - Kyndall C - 10-02-2012 03:10 PM

I looked up my name on Google and it had my tweets from my twitter account which I deleted. Can someone help me?

Deleting your Twitter account means you just destroyed access to your account to post or edit tweets.

You can't delete your Tweets. Once posted, they are out there..forever..teehee.

i understand the problem youre facing. ive deleted/deactivated accounts over the past few years (including xanga, myspace, facebook, twitter) and unfortunately, like what the other individual said, once something is posted online, it's hard to completely erase it from the world of the internet.

the world wide web retains a lot, and once a document, tweet, photo, blog entry, comment, or what have you has been posted, depending on how many other things it is associated with, (for instance reblogging or comments posted by others) it becomes that much harder to remove.

so for people like you and me, we just have to put up with it. sorry for the not so good news. hopefully over the years the information will get buried with the tons of new junk being put online.

best of luck!
