How is that annoying exactly? You can only poke one time until the other person poked you back...It's not like you can constantly poke someone on there. Also, a poke is just a notification. It's not really an actual poke on your arm or your face that can annoy you. lol
And no, guys are not the only ones that do that. I know a lot of girls do that too. Especially my ex-girlfriends and female friends. They do it for fun.
